Word Count Check In (6)

Ugh where to begin. It’s been another of those weeks my dears. I’m stressed beyond where a sixteen year old should be stressed. But anyway onto the word count stuffs.

Week Total:594
Month Total:2122

I’m hoping for this week to be better. I’m diving into a very interesting point in my WIP, so maybe I can churn out extra words

Book Review: Winter’s Heart by A.C. Warneke

IMG_1721
Description~
The world ends and begins with Winter

Flynn Rogers fell in love with the actor Winter Mitchell when she was twelve and he played the 500-year-old vampire on her favorite television series. She fell in love with the man Winter Mitchell when she was twenty-one and she was hired by his fiancée to plan her son’s birthday. But in the land of Make Believe things are very rarely how they appear and Flynn is going to discover that the man beneath the mask is worth selling her soul.

Winter Mitchell is living a carefully constructed illusion, a role he assumed when he had been lost amongst the wolves. Even though the world believes he’s engaged to the beautiful Melissa Irish, nothing could be further from the truth. He is content living the lie until Flynn Rogers crashes into his life and she is unlike anyone he has ever known. She has no filter between her thoughts and her tongue, she’s cautious yet wildly inquisitive, and he pursues her with single-minded determination, reclaiming pieces of himself that he had lost along the way.

Secrets and Passion bind them together
Lust and Deception pull them apart
And Love… Love rules their hearts.

Winter’s Heart is the blazing romance that will melt your kindle and set your sheets on fire.

The Review~

I gave this book a 4/5 stars on goodreads. Now let’s get into it.

Flynn and her sister Fallon are out in LA for a year so that Fallon can try her hand at becoming a famous actress. Meanwhile, Flynn’s off working as a party planning at a family friends business. That’s how everything starts.

Flynn goes into work one day an is handed a new job, an it’s one she wasn’t quite expecting. The job is to plan a party for Melissa Irish’s son Storm. However, along with Melissa being America’s sweetheart she also has a fiancée that Flynn is all too familiar with. Winter Mitchell, Flynn’s childhood tv crush.

Now I don’t give spoilers so let me tell you my thoughts on this bad boy. I don’t know what it was about this, but I wasn’t into it at first. After I got past the first few chapters I was hooked.

I loved the whole storyline, though it’s not the most unique, it was all done very well. The hot sex was perfectly described and so were the characters. I’d recommend this one to any of my girlfriends. Especially if they were going through a break up, like I was when I read it, because it gets your mind off the whole world.

I got so wrapped up in Flynn and Winter’s relationship. I loved every minute of it.

Here’s the description:

Rancher Cass Cartwright’s relationships never last more than a few hours, and that’s just the way he likes it. Now he’s done the one thing he swore never to do: fallen in love. Can Cass convince Ty to let go of his past or will sabotage at the ranch kill their love before it has a chance to grow?

Review Time!:

Let me start off with with saying if you like M/M books, especially ones with hot cowboys then this is for you.

I gave this book 5/5 stars on goodreads. I absolutely adored both men. Both were alphas, not one making the other one looking like some little bitch. I really liked that. Another thing is, the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. They blew me out of the water.

I’m gonna finish this series at some point. I’m addicted and I need more. So take that for what it’s worth, I’d recommend this to any of my friends.

Book Review: What Kills Me by Wynne Channing

IMG_1690-1

Heres the description:
An ancient prophecy warns of a girl destined to cause the extinction of the vampire race.

So when 17-year-old Axelia falls into a sacred well filled with blood and emerges a vampire, the immortal empire believes she is this legendary destroyer. Hunted by soldiers and mercenaries, Axelia and her reluctant ally, the vampire bladesmith Lucas, must battle to survive.

How will she convince the empire that she is just an innocent teenager-turned bloodsucker and not a creature of destruction? And if she cannot, can a vampire who is afraid of bugs summon the courage to fight a nation of immortals?

Now on to the review:
Oh my god. Let me get y’all hip. This book is addicting, and I mean I couldn’t put it down. For me it’s not easy to really to get me into a book like I did here, but I’m so glad I did. I really needed it.

Anywho don’t this that this is just another vampire book because um well it’s not. It’s so much better.

Now out main character here, Axelia, is pretty awesome and adorable. Not to mention she has a great sense of humor. I love her to bits and pieces.

This poor thing has been through hell in the book. I mean she’s visiting a foreign country and meets this hot guy. Every 17 yr olds dream right? Well it wasn’t that simple. That guy comes to her window one night, and has her sneak out with him. However that guy turns out to be a vampire, and she finds this out when he leads her into a church and tries to kill her. Long story short she falls into a well, dies, and comes back as a vampire.

This basically sets her out on this journey, but I’m not gonna say anything. Don’t wanna spoil it for ya.

At first I wasn’t feeling this. At all. But it all grew on me with in the first couple of chapters and before I knew it I couldn’t put it down. I’m for sure gonna pick up the next book in this series.

Boyfriends, Amwriting, And Fingernail Polish

Ehhhem my dears. Today has been one of those days, and it’s been that way for the past 3 days. I don’t even know what to do.

Let’s start with the boyfriend. We’ve been together for over a month now, and he’s starting to act different. I confronted him about it today, asking him if we were ok, and he says that we’re fine. Then I text him, he reads it and doesn’t respond. This happens 3 more times. Now we haven’t talked much over the past couple of days either. Like I wanna say something to him, and ask him what’s going on. At the same time I’m scared to, I don’t to be clingy or whatever.

But anyway onto the writing part. I squeezed out about 100 words. That was such a struggle. I don’t know what’s up with me. Yesterday I did pretty good, but today I don’t know. At the same time something’s better then nothing.

Another thing that’s got me a little heated. You know that gel stuff you get done at the salon. Yeah tried that. That shit tore my nails up. Their cracking and peeling. Never again that’s all I can say.
